PROYECTO DE APOYO MICROEMPRESARIAL DIRIGIDO A MUJERES POBRES DEL CANTON MORONA
El Proyecto entrelaza el conocimiento sobre manejo de microempresas con una alternativa de acceso a microcréditos de generación económica. Confronta la debilidad de conocimiento de las prácticas de manejo de pequeños negocios o emprendimientos y el uso adecuado de los recursos financieros disponibles, el desconocimiento de tecnologías productivas, y la carencia de apoyo a los procesos de autogestión económica.
Igualmente se han previsto acciones específicas para dinamizar la participación de la mujer en el desarrollo de la región, mediante la creación y fortalecimiento de mecanismos asociativos y desarrollo de su capacidad de autogestión, contemplando siempre sus particulares intereses así como considerando las diferencias de enfoque debido al género y permitiendo que el proyecto realmente beneficien a la mujer, prestando especial cuidado a no aumentar indebidamente sus cargas de trabajo.
La propuesta beneficia al menos a 675 mujeres en un plazo de 24 meses y pretende convertirse en autogestionaria aprovechando la infraestructura que servirá para implementar en ella:
° Un Centro de Formación Microempresarial permanente ; ° Un Centro de Difusión e Información Microempresarial ; ° Un Albergue para alojamiento de participantes de comunidades lejanas y para autogestión turística del proyecto. ° Además el Centro servirá para dar atención emergente a Mujeres víctimas de maltrato
Objetivo General. Mejorar la calidad de vida de las mujeres en situación de riesgo del Cantón Morona, Ecuador, impulsando un desarrollo sostenible en la región amazónica a través de la ejecución de actividades de atención formativa y productiva con la promoción de procesos de autogestión orientados hacia las familias colonas e indígenas que viven en el territorio.

PROYECTO ALBERGUE-TALLER ESTUDIANTIL
INTRODUCCION Y ANTECEDENTES
Debido al crecimiento acelerado de Macas y al prestigio de varios de sus establecimientos educativos, cientos de jóvenes de toda la provincia llegan para proseguir sea sus estudios secundarios o universitarios.
Se calcula que más de 300 niños y jóvenes de escasos recursos económicos cada año arriban a la ciudad procedentes de sectores rurales . Sin embargo se encuentran con graves problemas para encontrar alojamiento, siendo esta una causa para el abandono de estudios.
Quienes lograr encontrar un lugar se ven abocados a condiciones infrahumanas de habitabilidad, compartiendo espacios reducidos de 3x3metros, y sin las condiciones ambientales propicias para su actividad estudiantil.
De ahí que ATASIM decidió en base a su Estatuto de creación impulsar un proyecto para construir un Albergue Estudiantil con apropiadas instalaciones sanitarias, eléctricas y ambientales , un salón de cómputo , un salón auditorio, un salón de juegos y servicio de restaurante.
Se fijarán costos bajos que luego servirán para los necesarios gastos administrativos y para seguir ampliando el Albergue con otros servicios como canchas, piscina y áreas verdes de distracción y estudio.
El proyecto se auto sostendrá en base a un programa de alojamiento destinado a turistas nacionales o extranjeros.
Problemas que el proyecto pretende enfrentar A. Privaciones & Desmoralización: Macas no tienen hostales ni albergues para estudiantes construidos para el efecto. Debido a esto los jóvenes deben alojarse en casas privadas, muchas veces con altos costos y en condiciones nada favorables de promiscuidad y falta de aseo. La búsqueda de un lugar es muchas veces desmoralizante y hace que cientos de padres de familias decidan no apoyar el deseo de sus hijos e hijas de continuar sus estudios. Existen casos en donde mas de 4 estudiantes comparten habitaciones incómodas y sin ventilación de 4mx4m que no consideran las condiciones tropicales y húmedas de la zona. Bajo estas condiciones de restricción y bajo la presión constantes de la elevación de los arrendamientos , la salud mental y psicológica de los jóvenes se ve mermada provocando bajones en su rendimiento académicos observados por varios maestros de la localidad.
Debido a las limitaciones para encontrar un albergue seguro , los padres y madres deben acudir a casas privadas en donde son dejados los jóvenes sin control de ninguna clase, siendo luego presa fácil de pandillas, asaltos sexuales y propensión al uso de las drogas. El Proyecto busca dar seguridad a los jóvenes utilizando la prevención como mecanismo de control de las consecuencias negativas de una sociedad de consumo sumamente egoísta.
Muchos estudiantes provienen de Centros Shuar y debido a que su condición económica es peor que las de los mestizos , deben buscar trabajo en las mañanas( los hombres ) o trabajo como empleadas domesticas ( las mujeres) para poder pagarse sus estudios dado que sus padres colaboran con lo necesario para su alimentación o incluso sin esta ayuda. Se ha comprobado que muchas adolescentes shuar mujeres se prostituyen y abandonan sus estudios.
GRUPOS META El Proyecto estará localizado en la ciudad amazónica de Macas y atenderá a estudiantes tanto hombres como mujeres que busquen admisión en los centros de estudios locales como Colegios, Institutos , Universidades o Centros Ocupacionales. Serán tanto de la etnia shuar como colona .El total de beneficiarios será de 80 estudiantes en la primera fase.
OBJETIVOS
Con la materialización de este proyecto los jóvenes que llegan a Macas para continuar sus estudios no estarán recorriendo las calles en búsqueda de un lugar de alojamiento . Esto aliviará la presión mental y preocupaciones tanto de los estudiantes como de los padres de familia.
El proyecto será completado con una Sala de Cómputo (Telecentro) con acceso a Internet. Esto redundará positivamente en las tareas que cumplan los estudiantes y a mejorar su futuro profesional. Al mismo tiempo se adecuará una sala de estudios con acceso a una Biblioteca básica.
El proyecto pretende crear una atmósfera de orientación académica sujeta al comportamiento adecuado de los estudiantes y no facilitando la vida a jóvenes que no están realmente interesados en mejorar sus condiciones de vida. El proyecto se permite el derecho de no prestar servicio a jóvenes que no demuestren deseos de superación y estudio bien definidos o con graves problemas en sus instituciones educativas.
Macas es una ciudad con uno de los niveles de crecimiento más acelerados de la Amazonia ecuatoriana. Varias Universidades e institutos se van creando año a año incrementando el número de alumnos y por ende los problemas de alojamiento y alimentación. El proyecto implementará un restaurante con precios módicos y selección de dietas que ayuden la tarea intelectual ya que se registran casos graves de anemia y desnutrición entre estudiantes de todos los niveles de estudios entre jóvenes que no viven con sus padres.
IMPLEMENTACION Tan pronto como se logre la subvención del proyecto , FUNDACION ATASIM iniciará con las tareas de construcción. Se dispone de un terreno apropiado alejado de la ciudad pero con servicio de transporte cada hora. Un Oficial del ATASIM supervisará toda la implementación del proyecto estacionado en el lugar de las obras para vigilar la calidad de materiales y trabajos allí realizados. El proyecto será completado en un año desde la recepción del dinero.
IMPACTO DEL PROYECTO
El Albergue mantendrá bajos costos con el fin de que estudiantes de familias de bajos recursos puedan afrontarlos junto a otros costos de libros, útiles, colegiaturas y pensiones en los establecimientos educativos.
MONITOREO Y REPORTES El Presidente de FUNDACION ATASIM enviará reportes sobre el progreso y fotografías al donante cada vez que este lo requiera.
SUSTENTABILIDAD Macas es una ciudad que cada año recibe a más estudiantes de toda la provincia de Morona Santiago. La presión por alojamiento es grande y el proyecto en si solo atenderá un 25% de la demanda existente. El Albergue mantendrá costos justos que cubran los costros de funcionamientos como luz, agua, teléfono, arreglos internos y ampliación para nuevos espacios físicos que permitan en el futuro atender a mas estudiantes.

STUDENTS HOSTEL PROJECT IN MORONA, AMAZONIC REGION OF ECUADOR
INTRODUCTION AND PROJECT BACKGROUND
One of the highest priority of ATASIM was to educate the young children, the future seed of future amazonic region of Morona that counts 15 high schools with total enrolment of over 2.500 students. Each year about 200 student graduates their school in the Province and more than 50% of them go for further study in Universities and Vocational Institutes. From other Cantones of the Province comes more of 150 students to attend local universities & colleges, which are located mainly in Macas for further studies. Macas live with largest concentration of rural students because of their popularity in academic environment and a huge number of educative institutions. Nevertheless our students had to face a big problem of getting hostel facility, particularly in Macas. Living in a private house is hard to arrange, very costly and also inconvenient. Consequently, many of our students are forced to abandon their studies which is unfortunate. Hence, the ATASIM Association has decided to construct a hostel in Macas to accommodate 50 college and universitarian students.
Concrete Problems the project want to address A. Hardship & Demoralise: University hostels are very limited as compared to students coming to study. Due to this our students need to accommodate in private home, many times with high costs. Furthermore, it is hard to get such facility which normally is long and cumbersome to look for. In their process to share this big burden at least three students share a room about 4X4 meters size. In an amazonic hot climate it is very hard to stay in such room with only fan. Upon this there are other restrictions and constant fear of landlord to repeal the rent contact. Such situation is psychologically demoralising or some how causing students the sense of inferiority complex, which is a great danger and hinderance to their development.
Due to limited hostel facilities in the city, many of our students have to make arrangement as paying guest in private houses. Because they are too free and many a time need to stay in a less cultured society due to the cost, there is a danger of students neglecting studies and indulging in socially undesirable practices like taking to drugs.
Many students come from shuar native centres with its own culture and self-identity which is very important. They are the most affected due to economic reasons. It is important offer opportunities to help them to have adequate condition of living , For this reason they will be important and special beneficiaries of the project.
TARGET GROUPS The Project will be located in Macas. It will benefit all the men an women students seeking admission in local Colleges High Schools, Institutes, Universities and Occupational centres.
OBJETIVES
With materialisation of this project, young people going to Macas for studies need not to roam street to street in search of their stay point, a cheaper one. This will very much ease the mental pressure of the student particularly and their parent. Since they will be put-up in a fairly good facilitated hostel, future students will no more have the inferiority complex of sitting in a congested ill room and thus shoot-up their morale to compete & excel their counterparts in good of humanity.
The project will be completed with a Computer Room . This has much role to play in their day to day future economic life. At the same time, they will have own place to investigate and complete their tasks.
Being in hostel you have some do's & don't which basically tuned to support the aims & objective of the hostel. As such ill responsible or less cultured student will be cautioned and reduced the risk of socially undesirable practice. At the same time academic oriented atmosphere of the hostel plus studious children in the hostel will motivate those who are not so particular with their study or in other words easy going student/s.
Finally, since the culture of those living in these hostel are different form the majority of the inhabitant of very particular city/town/place and other foreigners, they are also functioning as centre of a distinct culture. Thus this hostel will keep them at home away from home.
Macas is the gateway of amazoinc reality with medical facilities. It has more than 35,000 people living around.
IMPLEMENTATION As soon as the funding commitment is secured, the ATASIM association will begin the project. Our Project officer will supervise the over all implementation of the project. A Representative will be stationed at the construction site along with other staff to maintain check on quality of the material and smooth implementation of the project. The project will be completed within 1 year from receipt of funding. AIMS & IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT
This hostel will charge minimum hostel fees so that student from poor family background can afford it (as their financial resources are already overtaxed due to expensive educational costs and cost of living in cities). Besides other staff, the hostel will employ a hostel warden for discipline and a computer teacher to guide and assist students . This will ensure better performance from the students, prevent them from being led astray into socially undesirable practices and will be able to develop their related studies.
Will collect data and conduct research concerning the interests of the students, the challenges they face in the field of education, how their education can be best utilized for the good of our community. Will identify talented students and support their further studies so that they can serve the community .
MONITORING AND REPORTING The Project officer will send progress report and photos of the project work to the donor every four months. On completion of the project, a completion report, financial statement and photos of the project will be submitted to the donor.
PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY For the last more than two decades, Macas has more than 500 students studying in colleges , universities and Vocational Institutes. The city is located in the centre of the province. Number of students therefore joining study centres is increasing. Sustainability is thus for sure. Also: The hostel will charge fees enough to cover the running and maintenance cost of the hostel. If needed. We may, if necessary, accommodate some of accommodated students but at little higher fee. This is particularly possible . Such will have two advantages, i.e., little higher fee from them will help much to compensate running and maintenance cost. This is possible because they have better means and at the same time our charges will definitely be much lower than what they pay for rented house. Much more, this combination will improve better universal understanding, provide opportunity to learn & appreciate each others culture.
FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS ATASIM FOUNDATION will have the land and construction of hostel must be financed.

PROJECT: SOCIAL DRUGSTORE
Project Overview
Project Objectives:
The poverty and after, the emigration has decreased the income of vulnerable people both in rural and urban areas of the country. Women who are supporting their families and have no other working member in the family are the most affected inhabitants. This project is designed specially to provide low cost medicine specially poor colonos and shuar natives families.
The objectives are:
• To contribute in empowerment and building sustainable livelihood of most needy people in the target area of Macas through Social Drugstore. • To provide opportunities for establish secured health. • To give courses to defend health with Volunteers.
Project Activities:
- Social Drugstore bulding - Recruitment of the required personnel - Procurement of material and equipment
Project Outputs:
• 30.000 people attended per year
Project Impact:
At the end of 1st year families will access to low cost medicines.

El
proyecto busca luchar contra los efectos de la pobreza en diferentes
parroquias y comunidades que conforman el Cantón Morona, Provincia
de Morona Santiago, Ecuador implementando programas de formación e
inserción integral laboral/productiva de mujeres de sectores
populares, desempleadas o empleadas informales que desean generar su
empleo por cuenta propia o ampliar los existentes como factores de
desarrollo comunitario con apoyo de microcréditos en un contexto de
desarrollo sostenible.
Una
de las mayores preocupaciones de ATASIM es la situación por la que
atraviesan los niños y jóvenes del Cantón Morona cuya población
estudiantil supera 5.000 hombres y mujeres en todos los niveles.
